Job Purpose

To provide administrative and clerical support to the Treasury Department by assisting with payment processing, record keeping, cash management, bank reconciliations and ensuring accurate financial documentation in line with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payment Processing

  • Process electronic payments (RTGS, EFT etc.) for authorization
  • Ensure payments are properly authorized before processing.
  • Ensure POPs are properly filed and sent to correct recipients
  • Maintain payment schedules and follow up on approvals.

2. Cash & Bank Administration

  • Assist in monitoring daily cash balances.
  • Assist in preparation of admin documents for addition of new bank agents and signatories
  • Capture and update banking transactions in the accounting system.
  • Assist with preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports.
  • Support bank reconciliation processes.

3. Record Keeping & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate filing of treasury documents.
  • Safeguard confidential financial information.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

4. Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist in preparing treasury reports for management.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

5. General Administrative Duties

  • Respond to treasury-related queries from internal departments.
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions when required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Treasury Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience in a finance or treasury role (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Online banking platforms. accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic understanding of banking procedures and cash management.
